Funding

The Four Star Public Library thrives through multiple funding sources that ensure it can continue providing valuable resources and services to the community. A primary source of revenue is the tax levy, supported by local property taxes, which helps sustain daily operations. Additionally, the library benefits from state grants, such as the Illinois Per Capita Grant, which supports library improvements and programs. Organizational grants from various foundations and agencies also contribute to special projects and new initiatives. Lastly, donations from generous patrons play a vital role in expanding collections, funding programs, and enhancing library services. Together, these revenue streams keep the library strong and accessible to all.
