• In accordance with the Ililnois Paid Leave for All Workers Act (Public Act 102-1143), all employees of the Four Star Public Library earn one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked. After one year of employment, employees receive two weeks of paid time off, based on their average weekly hours worked over the past 12 months.
• The Four Star Public Library pay scale is in line with the Illinois Minimum Wage Law, which requires, as of January 1, 2025, workers over 18 years of age be paid a minimum $15.00 per hour. Raises are granted yearly in July, based upon performance evaluations and at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
